ACADEMY OF MUSIC STUDENTS HONOURED WITH TWO MORE HIGH ACHIEVER AWARDS

Congratulations to Dearbhla O’Brennan of Tullamore and Nicole Robinson of Roscrea, both students of Singing with Vocal Coach Ciaran Brady who were recently chosen out of 45,000 students to receive a "High Achiever Award" for excellence in musical ability, and for outstanding performance in their recent singing examinations.
The Royal Irish Academy of Music (RIAM)
senior examiners recently revealed the names of the successful
students. This is the third year in a row that students of the
Academy of Music in Tullamore have been awarded such a high
accolade. The Awards acknowledge the commitment, of students who
participate in the Academy’s Local Centre Examination System each
year.
The
announcement of the awards is a further addition to what has been an
unprecedented year for
Nicole, Dearbhla
and “The
Academy of Music” itself.
Nicole
recently triumphed in the
"Oratorio Cup for ages 15-18"
at the
Sligo Feis Ceoil 2010,
where she won
first place
after her performance of the Aria "I Know that My Redeemer Liveth"
from Handel's Messiah.
Dearbhla is a member of “The Academy Chamber Choir” who recently triumphed at the “Navan Choral Festival 2010” scooping first place in the Chamber Choirs category and runner up with certificate of Distinction in the Rotary Choir of the Year 2010, as well as being a finalist on Lyric FM’s “Choir’s For Christmas”.
