The Academy provides musicianship classes and instrumental tuition to all age groups from beginners level to advanced. We engage highly educated and professional staff offering superior quality musical education to our students.We offer a wide range of courses to suit all.

Directors:

Martina Burgoyne B.A.(Music Hons), A.V.C.M., L.V.C.M., Grad.Dip I.T. (Mfg.Eng)

Martina has an Honors Bachelors degree in Music&German from N.U.I. Maynooth. She also holds an Associate Diploma in Piano Performance and a Licentiate Diploma in Piano Teaching from the Victoria College of Music London. Martina has over 15 years continuous teaching experience in varying positions and roles from private tuition to managerial.

Martina also brings to the Academy a wealth of business experience working with US Companies in Financial roles; as call center manager with “Iomega” and also with “Hewlett Packard” as their European Financial Supervisor for Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Ciaran Brady B.A., M.A.(Music hons), H.Dip.Comp.Sc.

Ciaran has an Honors Bachelor’s degree in Music with Economics and a Master’s degree in Music and vocal performance from N.U.I. Maynooth where he also conducted and directed the University Chamber Choir in many acclaimed concerts, winning the International Competition at Limerick Choral Festival in 1991. He pursued further studies in advanced vocal technique in Freiburg, Germany and has many years work experience as a full time professional singer with Opera Ireland, The National Chamber Choir, the RTE Chamber Choir and as a founder member of Anùna and was involved in a large quantity of recording work and recital work.

Ciaran is also a qualified computer scientist from U.C.C. and brings to the Academy an abundance of business experience through his tenure of 8 years with US Multinational “National Instruments” as a Computer Programmer and Business Analyst.

Our Approach

The only Academy of Music for the Midland Regions. Working together we see the Academy institute as a performance in itself. We believe it is the hard work we are collectively accomplishing that will culminate in our student’s successes.
